A chilly breeze blew through the park as you sat underneath a tree, sketchbook resting in your lap as you tapped it with your pencil. It was a common sight to anyone who would have gone to the park for the past couple of weeks so most thought nothing of it anymore. That is everyone except for one in particular, a young man with light brown hair that shined like gold in the light.

Kevin Woo of U-KISS, he is the one who would always notice you sitting under the tree, always mentally arguing with himself if he should go over and say hi. He would always wonder what was so interesting in that sketchbook, what it was you were always drawing. This occasion was no exception as he walked out on that cold day, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He let out a shaky breath, the vapor visible in the air as he looked over by the tree, a toothy grin spreading on his face when he saw you sitting there.
"Today is the day..." he muttered to himself, "today you are going to talk to her..."
Letting out a sigh, he walked off of the sidewalk onto the grass towards you, his steps making a crunchy sound on the grass. The sound filled your ears as he got closer and closer, a confused look coming on your face as you looked up to see what the cause was. When your eyes met with his figure, a small smile came to your face but you quickly hid it as he stood in front of you now. Your eyes met and you both just stared at each other for a moment, everything else seeming to disappear.
"Hello..." he stated, his voice cracking slightly; making his face turn a bright red. He let out an awkward laugh as he heard you giggle under your breath, his embarrassment easing a bit.
"Let's try that again..." he coughed slightly, "Hello... My name is Kevin..."
"Hello Kevin." you replied and then gave him your own name.
"That's a really pretty name." he smiled, his eyes drifting down to your sketchbook, "so you draw I see..?"
"Yes I do..." you smiled as you looked down at your sketchbook, your grip tightening around it slightly.
"May I see some of your drawings?" he asked.
"No.", you replied quickly, and then let out a small sigh, "I... I just don't want people looking at my pictures. I'm sorry..."
"Oh ok..." he muttered and looked off to the side, "I was just curious because you are always under this tree drawing. "It took him a few moments before he realized what he had said, his eyes widening and one hand coming up and covering his mouth.
"Oh that came out wrong!" he exclaimed, "don't think of me as a creeper or anything, please! I mean, yes I see you every time I come here but I don't intentionally look for you-"
"It's ok..." you laughed, interrupting his rambling, "I don't find it weird. I mean, I'm sitting in the middle of the park so anyone could see me here... Not just you."
"Yeah I guess…" he stated, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, "I can't help but feel strange about it though. It makes me feel like a stalker or something."
"Well even if you were some kind of stalker..", she smirked slightly, "It's nice to know Kevin of U-KISS finds me interesting enough to pay attention to me whenever he comes to this lovely park. I bet not a lot of girls can say that unless this is a hobby of yours. "
"Oh no, I don't do this usually!" he exclaimed, his face turning a brighter red as, "Don't think of me as a creeper now… Gah why are you making me so flustered?"
You giggled at him and stood up, brushing off the grass from your pants. Standing in front of him, you gave him a small smile and bowed your head.
"Though it's fun talking to my somewhat stalker," you laughed, "I have to get going… It was nice meeting you Kevin."
You walked around him and got a few feet away before Kevin turned around and called out your name. Turning to face him, you tilted your head to the side, a confused look coming on your face as you asked him what it was that he wanted.
"Tomorrow…." he stated, "Will you be here tomorrow?"
Your eyes looked down at the ground as you tried to think of what exactly he was getting at before you nodded slowly.
"Meet me here tomorrow at lunch time." he stated, a smile on his face that made you blush slightly, "I-I want to see you again, it was fun just talking to someone for once without having them pester me because I am an idol. Will you meet me here?"
Your eyes locked with his as you tried to see if he truly wanted to see you again. The only thing you could see in his eyes was truthfulness mixed with nerves which made you know for a fact that he was being good.  A smile came to your face as you let out a sigh and rolled your eyes playfully.
"I guess I can do that," you stated, "but you better hope that you are telling the truth… I don't like being lied to."
"I promise I will be here."
"Good to know." you smiled and turned and walked away, "See you tomorrow then, Kevin."
"Till tomorrow, ________." He smiled as he watched you walk away.
------
Weeks went by, and without fail, you and Kevin had met at the park every day to just talk about a bunch of different things. From your friends at the university that you attended to what it was like to a kpop star. All of the conversations that the two of you shared flowed so easily that anyone would think that you had known each other for a lot longer than a couple of weeks. Each day would be the same thing; the meeting, the greeting, the talking and then always somehow the conversation turned to your sketchbook.
"Why won't you let me see what you are drawing?" Kevin would always ask as he tried to steal a peek inside.
"I told you already," you would reply with a sigh as you quickly closed it, "I don't like it when people look at my pictures…"
Then you would change the subject again or continue on with what the two of you were previously talking about. No matter how many times you would tell him that you didn't want him to look at your sketchbook, he would always ask with hopes that you changed your mind.

Today was no different. Like always he had asked to see your drawings and you kindly told him no, though this time a silence fell between the two of you. Looking up you saw a frown on his face as he drew in the dirt with his finger.
"What's wrong Kevin?" you asked, a frown on your face, "You aren't upset that I won't let you see my sketches, are you? I mean, we've been over this before but you haven't shown that you were-"
"It's not that…" he interrupted you, his eyes looking at you now, a sad smile on his face, "It's just... It's just that this is going to be the last time we see each other for a while. U-KISS is scheduled for a long tour in Japan. I leave tomorrow morning first thing."
You sat there in silence for a moment, something pulling inside your chest but you pushed it away as you let out a shaky sigh. "Oh." was all you could manage at the time, your brain unable to come up with anything intelligent to say.
"The past couple of weeks have been really enjoyable." He smiled at you, something once again stirring in your chest but you ignored it, "It was really fun talking to you every day. It's something I will never forget if I can help it. "
"By the way you are talking, I'm guessing this is goodbye…?" you asked.
"It is." He stated simply, running a hand through his hair, "I don't want it to be though."
"Same."
"Maybe we will meet again someday." He said as he stood up, you following his lead and standing in front of him now.
"Maybe…" you mumbled, looking off to the side, "I have to go do something… Have a nice flight."
You didn't wait for an answer as you spun on your heels and began walking away. Kevin felt his heart break as he watched you walk away. He tried to call out to you but he couldn't form the right words. He stood there in silence as he watched you walk away until you were out of sight. Letting out a shaky breath, Kevin closed his eyes as he pushed away the stinging sensation in his eyes as he walked in the opposite direction.
It was then that you both noticed something, something that you both had failed to take into consideration; your feelings for each other. It seemed impossible to the two of you as you thought it over that sleepless night, that in the short amount of time that you two had spent together that you had developed feelings. Was it just the fact that the two of you felt so comfortable with each other, or that every free moment the two of you had was spent with each other? No matter what the reason was, the feelings were so obvious to the two of you now, but Kevin knew it was too late. He was to leave the next morning, giving him no time to tell you how he truly felt and it pained him.
Though it hurt, that next morning he was all smiles as they went to the airport, the other members joking around as they all went through security while Kevin laugh a hollowed laughter with them. They were waiting in the terminal for their plane, all seeming excited about the trip back to Japan for their promotions. Kevin sat a little bit away from his manager and the other members as he went into his own little world.
A smile came to his face as he thought about the weeks before, how many laughs the two of you had shared and just how right it seemed to be with you. A sigh left his lips as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. His memories would probably be the only thing he would have to remember you, the chances of you two meeting again were slim.
His thoughts overtook his body that when a shadow casted over his face, he thought it was just a cloud covering the sun or Eli trying to scare him.
"Just leave me alone, Eli…" he muttered, not opening his eyes to see who it was, "I'm not in the mood."
"Well that's someone is in a grumpy mood today." You stated as you looked down at him, "If I knew you were going to talk to me that way, I would have never gotten up this morning."
Kevin's eyes flew open as he quickly stood up and turned around, you barely getting away in time so his head didn't hit your nose. He opened his mouth to talk, but no words came out, the look on his face making you laugh.
"What are you doing here?" He asked you, "I didn't think that you would come here."
"I couldn't let someone I hold dear go without a goodbye present, could I?" you asked with a smile as you rummaged through your bag.
"You didn't have to get me anything, _________." Kevin smiled, "Seeing you here before I leave is all I need to-"
"Oh shush and take it." You stated, holding out your sketchbook to him.
His eyes widened as he looked between the sketchbook and you. With his hand shaking, he took the sketchbook from your hand. "You would never let me look at it before though." he stated, a confused look on his face, "Why the sudden change of heart?"
"I guess you can say I value your opinion more than I originally thought I did." You smiled, a small red tint coming to your cheeks as you looked down, "Just take good care of it."
Kevin nodded and went to speak again when his manager called out that they had to go. "I will take good care of It.", he nodded, "and you don't have to worry-"
"Kevin come on…" his manager stated again, now standing behind Kevin as he took a hold his jacket and started to pull him away from where you were standing, leaving the conversation in the air.

The sketchbook felt heavy on top of Kevin's lap as the plane took off and was flying in the air. Looking to the side, he saw that Eli was asleep and thought that it was the perfect time to finally get to see what was in the sketchbook. Opening it carefully to the first page, his eyes widened as he looked at the picture.
It was of him, the date next to your signature going back to when he had first noticed you under the tree in the park. The dates continued to go day by day, each picture becoming better quality and more realistic that it looked like a picture. Each one had so much detail to it, it amazed Kevin that you were able to draw so well.
A smile came to his face as he flipped through them, realizing that you were watching him from a distance. He chuckled quietly as he turned to the last page, instead of a picture greeting him, words were simply written on the page.
'I'll be there when you get back, no matter how long I have to wait. Don't forget me now, ok?'
Closing the sketchbook, Kevin smiled to himself as he drummed on the cover lightly.
"I won't"
